Kern & Sohn IoT-Line Bench Scale KERN FKB 8K0.05
The KERN FKB 8K0.05 bench scale from the Kern & Sohn IoT-Line has been developed for high-precision weighing in industrial environments. With a resolution of up to 160,000 points, it is particularly suitable for applications where even the smallest weight differences must be reliably detected, such as with consumed gas, abrasion on mechanical components, rock samples, minerals, geodes, or precious metals like silver. Despite large weighing ranges, its compact dimensions allow for precise work even in confined spaces, even with heavy loads.
The robust plastic die-cast housing ensures stable positioning, reliably protects the sensitive weighing technology, and is resilient in daily industrial use. For exact measurement results, the scale is equipped with a spirit level and leveling feet as standard for precise leveling. A protective work cover is included in the scope of delivery and offers additional protection against dust and dirt.
In the spirit of Industry 4.0, the scale features the integrated KERN Universal Port, allowing external KUP interface adapters such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN, or Ethernet to be easily plugged in. This makes retrofitting interfaces convenient, without having to open the scale housing or perform a complicated installation. The interface adapters enable convenient transfer of weighing data to networks, PCs, smartphones, tablets, laptops, or printers. At the same time, control commands and data inputs can be sent directly to the scale via the connected devices. With the KERN KUP-13 Extension Box, up to three KUP interface adapters can also be operated in parallel.
Additionally, the KERN Communication Protocol allows for querying and remote control of the scale via external control devices or computers. The PRE-TARE function enables manual deduction of a known container weight in advance and is particularly helpful for fill quantity checks. Furthermore, freely programmable weighing units are available, for example, for direct display of wire lengths in g/m or surface weights in g/m² for paper, fabric, or sheet metal. This makes the KERN FKB 8K0.05 a powerful solution for precise, networked, and efficient weighing processes in industry, laboratories, and quality assurance.
