The KERN FKB 65K1 bench scale from Kern & Sohn's IoT line is designed for precise weighing in industrial environments and, with a resolution of up to 65,000 points, offers reliable measurement results even with the smallest weight differences. It is suitable for applications such as determining gas consumption, wear on mechanical components, rock samples, minerals, geodes, or precious metals like silver. Thanks to its large weighing range and compact dimensions, even heavy loads can be weighed accurately in confined spaces.

The robust die-cast plastic housing ensures stability, protects the sensitive weighing technology, and is resistant to the rigors of daily industrial use. For precise measurements, the scale comes standard with a spirit level and leveling feet. A protective cover is included, providing reliable protection against dust and dirt.

In line with Industry 4.0 principles, the scale features an integrated KERN Universal Port, enabling the connection of external KUP interface adapters such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN, or Ethernet. The adapters simply plug in, allowing for convenient interface upgrades without opening the scale housing or complicated installation. This enables the easy transfer of weighing data to networks, PCs, smartphones, tablets, laptops, or printers, while simultaneously allowing control commands and data inputs to be sent directly to the scale via the connected devices. The KERN KUP-13 extension box also allows up to three KUP interface adapters to be operated in parallel.

In addition, the KERN Communication Protocol allows the scale to be queried and remotely controlled via external control devices or computers. The PRE-TARE function enables the manual subtraction of a known container weight and is particularly helpful for fill level checks. Freely programmable weighing units, for example, for displaying wire lengths in g/m or basis weights in g/m² for paper, fabric, or sheet metal, complete the range of functions. This makes the KERN FKB 65K1 a versatile and reliable solution for professional applications in industry, laboratories, and quality assurance.
