Fixed UHF RFID Capture for Automated Processes
The Chainway URA4 is a fixed UHF RFID reader designed for automated capture of RFID tags in warehousing, logistics, production, retail and other professional application environments. The offered configuration combines Android 13 with the powerful CM710-4 RFID module and four connections for external UHF antennas.
This makes the reader suitable for processes where larger quantities of tagged goods, containers or assets need to be captured reliably and transferred directly to higher level applications.
Powerful CM710-4 Module with Impinj E710
The integrated Chainway CM710-4 module is based on the Impinj E710 chip and supports Impinj Gen2X. The reader processes UHF RFID tags according to EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6C. The output power can be adjusted depending on the configuration and power supply.
Chainway specifies a maximum reading rate of more than 1,300 tags per second. Actual performance depends on the RFID tags used, the connected antennas, their positioning and the respective environmental conditions.
Four Antenna Ports for Different Reading Zones
The Chainway URA4 features four TNC ports for external RFID antennas. This allows multiple reading zones to be created using a single fixed RFID reader. Depending on the application, individual sides of an RFID gate, different sections of a production line or multiple capture points at a transfer station can be covered.
Suitable antennas can be selected according to the required reading range, radiation pattern and spatial conditions. This allows the RFID system to be adapted precisely to the respective process.
Android 13 for Local Applications and Data Processing
The Android 13 operating system enables suitable applications to run directly on the RFID reader. The 2.0 GHz octa core processor, 3 GB of memory and 32 GB of internal storage provide an independent platform for RFID software and individual process solutions.
Chainway provides a software development kit for the development and integration of custom applications. This allows RFID data to be processed and filtered directly on the device before being transferred to merchandise management systems, warehouse management systems or other business applications.
Versatile Interfaces for System Integration
RJ45 Ethernet, RS232, three USB ports, USB Type C and HDMI are available for integration into existing infrastructures. The reader also features digital inputs and outputs for connecting external sensors, signal lights or control components.
Network communication can also take place via dual band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1. Depending on the respective device configuration, mobile network connectivity is also available. Power can be supplied via DC, PoE or PoE Plus.
