Compact dual-frequency reader for RF and UHF applications

The R1 RFID reader with integrated CM-3N module is a versatile, compact desktop RFID reader that supports both HF and UHF technology. Designed for use in areas such as smart card management, access control, retail, or libraries, the R1 offers maximum flexibility while maintaining reliable reading performance.

The device processes a variety of common RFID protocols, including ISO18000-6C (UHF), ISO14443 A/B, and ISO15693 (HF). This makes the reader ideal for hybrid applications that use both cards and tags. The read range is up to 15 cm (UHF) and 5 cm (HF) – ideal for close-range reading on a desk or at service points.

With a transmit power of 5–25 dBm (adjustable) and a sensitivity of -72 dBm, the R1 ensures stable performance even with weak transponders. It connects via a USB Type-C interface, which also provides power (DC 3.5–5.25 V). Two integrated PSAM slots enable advanced security features such as encryption and authentication.
