The Chainway C72 is a rugged UHF RFID handheld designed for mobile capture of RFID tags in warehousing, logistics, production, retail and field service. The offered configuration combines Android 13 with 4 GB of memory, 64 GB of internal storage, an octa core processor and a powerful UHF RFID module. This makes the mobile data capture device suitable for businesses looking to efficiently digitize inventory, stock control and asset tracking processes.

Powerful UHF RFID Capture
The UHF RFID module is based on Impinj E Series chips and supports Impinj Gen2X as well as the EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000 6C standards. The Chainway C72 can capture multiple compatible RFID tags within a short period of time, making it particularly suitable for inventory, shipping checks, asset tracking and the identification of larger quantities of goods.
Under suitable test conditions, Chainway specifies reading rates of more than 1,300 tags per second and reading ranges of up to 30 meters. Actual performance depends on the RFID tags used, the antenna configuration, positioning and the respective environmental conditions.
Android 13 and Reliable System Performance
Android 13 provides a familiar platform for mobile business applications and individual RFID solutions. The octa core processor with up to 2.3 GHz and 4 GB RAM supports smooth processing of RFID data, item lists and business applications.
64 GB of internal storage is available for applications and captured data. If required, storage can be expanded by up to 256 GB using a MicroSD card. The Chainway software development kit also enables the development of custom applications and integrations for existing systems.
Clear 5.2 Inch Full HD Display
The 5.2 inch IPS display offers a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Applications, inventory data and capture results can therefore be displayed clearly. The rugged Gorilla Glass touch panel supports operation with gloves and wet hands, making the device easier to use in a wide range of working environments.
Dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G mobile connectivity and various positioning services are available for wireless communication. NFC is optional on this model and should only be listed in the technical specifications if it is actually included in the offered configuration.
Rugged Design and Powerful Battery
The Chainway C72 meets the IP65 protection rating and is protected against dust and water jets. The device is designed to withstand repeated drops from heights of up to 1.5 meters onto concrete and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from minus 20 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.
The 8,000 mAh battery supports long mobile working shifts. Chainway specifies continuous operation of more than twelve hours, although actual battery life depends on RFID usage, display brightness, mobile network connectivity and other operating conditions.
