Professional WiFi 6 Access Point for Outdoor Environments
The Cambium Networks XV2-2T0 is a powerful WiFi 6 outdoor access point designed for professional wireless networks on campuses, corporate sites, in hospitality environments and at public locations. Two radios with 2x2 technology provide simultaneous connectivity for client devices in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands.
Modern features such as OFDMA, MU MIMO, beamforming and Target Wake Time improve the efficient use of available radio resources. This allows the access point to support stable connections and efficient communication with numerous mobile devices, notebooks, scanners and IoT components.
Wide Area Omnidirectional Coverage with Integrated Antenna
The integrated high performance antenna is designed to provide even omnidirectional coverage around the mounting point. In the 5 GHz frequency band, it offers antenna gain of up to 9.3 dBi, while the 2.4 GHz band provides up to 5.3 dBi.
This makes the XV2-2T0 particularly suitable for large outdoor areas where users and mobile devices access the wireless network from different directions. Actual coverage depends on mounting height, the surrounding environment, the client devices being used, potential obstacles and professional radio frequency planning.
High Speed Network Connectivity and Power for Additional Devices
For wired network connectivity, the outdoor access point features an Ethernet uplink with speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. An additional Gigabit Ethernet port can supply another network device with configurable 30 V or 48 V power and up to 30 W.
This can be used, for example, to connect an IP camera, another access point, a Cambium Subscriber Module or a cnWave device. The power supply used must provide sufficient capacity to support this function.
Rugged Housing for Demanding Outdoor Installations
The IP67 rated housing is designed for permanently installed outdoor wireless networks. The XV2-2T0 can operate at ambient temperatures ranging from minus 40 to plus 65 degrees Celsius.
Surge protection of up to 4 kV and a filter for coexistence with certain LTE frequency ranges support reliable operation in demanding network environments. The access point can be mounted on a wall or a suitable pole. Separate antennas are not required.
Flexible Management with Cambium cnMaestro
The Cambium Networks XV2-2T0 can operate controllerless as a standalone access point or be centrally managed through cnMaestro. The management platform is available as a cloud based service or for local deployment as a virtual machine.
Administrators can centrally configure and monitor access points, clients, wireless profiles and radio parameters. The access point supports features including band steering, fast roaming, multi hop mesh and scheduled wireless profiles.
Support for up to 1,024 simultaneously connected clients and up to 16 SSIDs per access point enables the separation of employee WiFi, guest access, IoT devices and other user groups. The practical number of active clients depends on the applications being used and the required bandwidth. EasyPass supports the configuration of different guest access options. Certain advanced functions require a cnMaestro X license.
