Description
Cambium Networks XV3-8 Indoor, 802.11ax WiFi 6 Tri Band 8x8 Access Point
The XV3-8 from Cambium Networks is a powerful indoor access point designed for high density environments such as office buildings, educational institutions, retail spaces and public areas. With five integrated radios, the device combines maximum flexibility with future ready WiFi 6 performance.
At the core of the XV3-8 is its software defined radio technology. The two 5 GHz radios can either operate separately as two 4x4 streams, making them ideal for environments with a large number of legacy 802.11ac client devices, or they can be combined into a single 5 GHz 8x8 radio through a simple configuration change. This switch does not require a firmware change and allows the network to be gradually adapted to the increasing number of WiFi 6 devices. The system is complemented by a 2.4 GHz radio operating in 4x4 mode and a dedicated scanning radio that continuously monitors the RF environment and supports automatic RF optimization and interference avoidance.
In addition, the XV3-8 features an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio for location based services and IoT applications. Features such as seamless and fast roaming, automatic RF optimization and WPA3 encryption for public and business critical access help ensure a stable and secure connection even under high client loads.
For network administrators, the device offers comprehensive management options via the Cambium cnMaestro platform, either cloud based or on premises, as well as through XMS Cloud management. Both systems enable centralized control, monitoring and configuration of multiple access points from a single interface.
Thanks to its combination of high capacity, flexible radio configuration and comprehensive security features, the XV3-8 is particularly suitable for companies and institutions that require reliable and scalable WiFi connectivity for a large number of simultaneous users.
